Just like the energy audit in the tertiary sector, the energy audit in the residential sector has the objective to take stock of all the elements that influence the energy of the building and to study them in order to improve the energy performance of the building.

This project deals with an existing residential building (as opposed to the Tertiary Audit) which is a 4-faced house. In this project the main points on which it was necessary to take action were the insulation of the floor, change from double glazing to triple glazing and replacement of the front door. As the house was recent (2002) and had an EPB of C, there was not much (inexpensive) improvement to be made.
